“Hik Vision Install March 25. Boss (also real estate agent) gave quote without looking at property, which I explained was multi-level. All good he replied we do lots of houses on Yarrawonga. As the estimate came in thousands cheaper than other quote I insisted he personally inspect, which he did. Adjusted quote minimally, so I agreed to progress with Titan. When the qualified tradespeople visited they realised immediately the challenge of multi level and the orginal plan had to be rediscussed, including punching a hole through side of house to get camera where we wanted. They didn't have ladder high enough and the angle of yard didn't allow for a secure base for ladder. The tradespeople were surprised their boss said it was a simple job and no, they don't do lots of houses at Yarrawonga (perhaps that was an attempt to impress?). Anyway, I agreed to progress and cameras were installed after going well over the predicted finish time. The tradespeople were incredible and continued to apologise for not being able to carry out job as orignally promised. Moral of the story...the original quote should always be discussed/completed by the person actually carrying out the install or a qualif”
